World Series Game 1: White Sox 5, Houston 3

I feel like we got away with one tonight.  Contreras pitched well enough, but was not perfect.  However, Cotts and Jenks did seem perfect.

It would be interesting to see what the outcome would have been if Clemens hadn't left the game. 

We were 2 for 8 with runners in scoring position, and left 6 runners on.  Luckily the Astros returned the favor and that's what allowed us to win.

Joe Crede had a great game with the big home run and his defense.  I can't say enough about his performance in the postseason thus far.

I skipped the Wisconsin-Purdue game today and came home early.  I watched the game at a friend's place on Normal St. right by the stadium. 

After we won we ran down 35th and tried to get on as many cameras as possible.

Tomorrow I get to go to my first World Series game.  My Dad and I have been to hundreds of Sox games together, but the anticipation of getting to experience a World Series game together is just killing me.  I had tears in my eyes during the pregame montage at Game 2 of the ALDS.  I can't imagine what the emotions will be like tomorrow.  There is nothing like going to a World Series game with the old man.
