Chicago White Sox: 2005 World Series Champions!
It still hasn’t sunk in and I’m speechless as to what to say this means right now. It’s just crazy.
Last night I watched the game in Bridgeport and immediately ran over to Comiskey after I drenched myself in champagne. It was mostly young people down there at first but everyone was going nuts.
Just walking up and down 35th street late into the night was amazing. Everyone was high-fiving and honking and cheering.
I think it sunk in a little when I watched the postgame coverage that I taped and watched Jerry Reinsdorf get the trophy. He was emotional and I immediately got emotional as well.
I have a whole off season to let this sink in and as soon as it does I’ll write more.
But for now, when does spring training start?
ANYONE KNOW WHEN THEIR PLANE LANDS???
Just a small town girl, livin’ in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin’ anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit
He took the midnight train goin’ anywhere
A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on
Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
Hiding, somewhere in the night
Working hard to get my fill,
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin’ anything to roll the dice,
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on
(chorus)
Don’t stop believin’
Hold on to the feelin’
Streetlight people
